Dial-up: We'll prove we're the best! We believe our Internet service is the best, and we'll prove it with an incredible offer for your friends and coworkers who have contracts for Internet service with another company. We're convinced that once someone tries our Internet service, they'll want to keep it. We will provide FREE Internet access to anyone with an Internet service contract with another company for the life of that contract -- with no obligation to keep Natco Technologies Internet service thereafter. Natco Technologies does not require a service contract for Internet services. To sign up

NATCO has been offering DSL service in many Baxter and Marion county locations for more than a year. DSL is typically faster than a dial-up connection and is available for both home and business use. Pricing for DSL packages begins at $59.95/mo. and is based upon the number of the computers using the service and the level of security desired. To find out
if DSL is available for your business or home, contact customer service
at NATCO, 1-800-772-6682, or Mark Morris at Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing in
Mountain Home, 870-425-8064. Dial-up: Security and cable modems Natco Technologies offers DSL service, which in speed is comparable to cable Internet modems. However, one benefit of DSL over cable is the increased security that comes with DSL access. Cable modems and DSL Internet service both hook your computer to the Internet full-time, meaning your computer is online 24/7. What differs is the way that connection is made. Cable modems work over coaxial cable lines, which are shared literally with your neighbors to provide access, and are a many-to-one connection with the Internet service provider (ISP). DSL, on the other hand, operates like a dial-up connection on steroids; Internet access is run through your phone line (albeit at a higher frequency, thus eliminating the need for a second phone line dedicated to the Internet) and is a one-to-one connection with your ISP. By virtue of this one-to-one connection, DSL provides a more secure connection. The same holds true for ISDN and 56k modem connections; they are both one-to-one connections to your ISP and are thus more secure than cable Internet access. For questions
about Internet security, please call our technicians at 425-7325 in Mtn.

Web pages: CallWave announces fee for service A number of free Internet services have gone bankrupt or been forced to start charging for their services, and the latest in this group is CallWave, which was highlighted in the March 2001 issue of this e-newsletter. Up until now, CallWave has provided a free Internet-based service called "Internet Call Waiting." This service allows users to receive voice messages up to 45 seconds long, which are run through their computer from friends and family who are trying to telephone while users are online using their telephone line. CallWave touts their service as eliminating the need to purchase and install a second phone line. As of last month, however, CallWave customers have to pay for the Call Waiting service. For $3.95/monthly (or $2.95/monthly if paid a year in advance), customers can keep the service. The charges are applied to phone bills as a 1-900 charge. Customers must be at least 18 years of age. CallWave says exceptions to the monthly fees can be obtained for senior, disabled or new subscribers, and for those who have "very few calls each month." For additional information, see their Web site at http://www.callwave.com. NOTE: Natco
Technologies does not provide technical support or information about Internet
services such as this one. Natco
