- Recent Scam Targets eBay Customers
Don’t fall for reassuring language in an e-mail message that seems legitimate,
but has trickery well-camouflaged in it. One misleading e-mail we saw
recently and has already been stopped targeted eBay customers. Other
sites that have been imitated are Pay Pal and various banks.
The e-mail’s From address said eBay Billing
Department and the Subject was Final Notice Regarding Your eBay Account
Information.
The message was supposedly from the eBay
security team, which had “reviewed your account and saw that someone
has used your account for bidding and selling the products.” It asked
for an immediate update of account information and supplied a link.
The link looked as if it would go to eBay, but it did not. The closing
of the e-mail message also carried reassuring language about the “security
team” being concerned about the person’s account and making the account
safe.
To protect yourself, don’t reply to a
message with anything you notice as questionable. Please report such
e-mail messages to the Webmaster of the Web site that is being mimicked,
in this case eBay, and let others know about it, as well.

- Watch a Movie Right Now from NATCO
Tech and Big Hit Movies

praised animation in The Incredibles from Pixar? These and more new
releases can be yours without going to a video store or waiting for
a DVD in the mail. Just go to any NATCO Web site and click on the Big
Hit Movies logo to get started. Download to your computer and rent or
purchase your choice from more than 1,500 available.
Other new releases at Big
Hit Movies include two with search themes. National Treasure has
Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Franklin Gates following clues left by the
Founding Fathers of the United States on the quest for the world’s
biggest treasure. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou has Bill Murray
as an internationally famous oceanographer. His zany crew is hunting
Jaguar Shark which killed Zissou’s partner. But, the creature is mysterious,
elusive and possibly non-existent. Other featured movies now are Elektra
starring Jennifer Garner and Ocean’s Twelve with a cast of popular
actors George Clooney and Matt Damon.

- Winning E-Story Submitted by: Brenda
Mathison
My husband and I have family and friends scattered all over the place.
Calling each of them on the telephone to keep in touch would be very
costly, so instead we use e-mail to keep in touch. We have a young daughter
who we are very proud of and love sharing pictures of her with friends
and family and email offers an easy and affordable way of doing this.
Close friends of ours have a son in the Marines currently stationed
in Fallujah and he occasionally sends notes and pictures which allows
us to keep in touch with him and know he is doing okay. We also use
our Internet connection to pay the majority of our bills, including
our NATCO bill. Saves a lot of time versus writing out checks and saves
money on postage too. We have become accustomed to having Internet -
I don't know how we would function without it.
Brenda Mathison just earned two
free months of NATCO Internet service! Submit your E-Story today and
you could be our next winner! Remember that you can enter more than
once. So, if you didn’t win this time, try again! Just go to www.natcotech.com/estories.php
and tell us how using NATCO's Internet or e-mail service has made
your life easier, helped you promote or manage your business, or simply
how much you enjoy using the Internet and e-mail. If your E-Story
is chosen, you'll win two months of free NATCO dialup Internet service
($19.95 x 2 = $39.90) or an equivalent credit on your DSL or ISDN
account.
